YUNG BAE - Fly With Me

Remember YUNG BAE? Just posted a song of his yesterday. Well, as I said yesterday, YUNG BAE does not disappoint! This is one of my all-time favorite tracks by him--it's just so upbeat! This song slides into the category of vaporwave I have in my head that contains all of the retro 90's Japanese corporate music, classic synthpop, ect. The vintage synth bells with the muffled 80's electronic drum set lifts you off your feet the moment you hit play. It's no wonder they used vintage 80's and 90's airline commercials for the video! What is really a special treat in the song for me is the vocals. I love whenever vaporwave artists who have a Japanese flair to their sound uses female Japanese vocals, and I love how the vocalists went the extra mile and added in some key phrases in English. I love seeing multiple languages intertwined in vocals, and vaporwave is no exception! Fun fact: this song is originally the intro to an old anime called Dommel, vocals and all! However, once you here YUNG BAE's rework compared to the original, I think you will agree that he has taken what they originally had to the next level. Enjoy!
