The Royal Concept - Goldrushed
As much as I love vaprowave, house, chillstep, etc., sometimes, nothing beats the old-school garage vibes of indie rock. It's no lie, I have a special place inside for my favorite indie rock bands. It actually was around eight months or so that I first discovered The Royal Concept, while looking for covers of Daft Punk's "Digital Love." However, it wasn't until a few months ago I actually decided to check out some of their other works. I was mowing the lawn one day, and was like, "heck, I'm here anyways and I could use something fresh to listen to, so I might as well."
I went through every one of their songs before I finished the lawn.
Needless to say, they have become one of my favorite indie rock bands and really, one of my favorite bands of all time since then. What I especially love about them--and what really sets them apart--is how they add to their sound fresh flavors of indie electronic, flavors which they smoothly blend to create a sound that cements them as cornerstones of what vintage-tuned indie rock sounds like in an ever-growing electronic age. This is one of my favorite songs by them, and I'm pretty sure that once you listen to it, you'll understand what I'm saying. Enjoy!
