Today, we all took a horseback ride up to the Hollywood sign, and we actually got to go see part of Hollywood! I like how my mom said it, that Hollywood Blvd is like the California version of Times Square. As we were walking through all of these streets, the sun and the heat beating down on us, the names of thousands of stars on the sidewalk below our feet, I couldn't help but think of this song. Again, Macross 82-99 nails those wistful, dreamy, west-coast vibes. From the field recordings of the city which bookend the song, to the driving beats, to the expert orchestration, this tune totally encaptures one's first time in Hollywood, taking in the tributes to countless legends, and secretly hoping to be discovered.
