ただいま - Please Hold - Coffee Break

Here is a really cool track. Please Hold has quickly become one of my favorite vaporwave artist, and he is still up-and-coming. I had to do quite a bit of digging around on the vaporwave threads on SoundCloud to stumble upon this gem. What I love about Please Hold's work, especially this song, is that he really brings the authentic, timeless "elevator music," also commonly known as Muzak (all umbrella'd by the classification of Corporate music, to be technical), to a more musical, stylistic setting. Coffee Break I think is a great name for this song, as it has such a relaxed, downtempo, even muffled feel, while still keeping the professional, corporate sound. I love it also because the samples used are so perfectly capturing those 90's synthwave, new age sounds with every second and every instrument. I can definitely see why he calls himself Please Hold, as his work so actively reflects the kind of music and even the sound effects of music you might here while on hold on a corporate phone call. I just really love this track, and I'm unwinding with it now. Enjoy!
