The Shard (Puzzle) - Solar Fields (Mirror's Edge OST) - HD Quality

I love Mirror's Edge. It's a fact. I fell in love with this game long before I even bought it or got a chance to play it. I have gone through the story mode several times, and I have done many of the time trials. I even have collected all the extra content hidden throughout the game. And yet, with a railed storyline, not always the best voice acting, and many hours of frustration spent on fumbling to complete the same level over and over again, it has never gotten old. It is one of the few games which I have played and felt truly, wholly immersed in. As I make the dizzying jumps between buildings, soaring from rooftop to rooftop, my palms sweet and my heart races, no matter how many times I replay the level. The game is based around this fabled goal of fully immersing the player, and it seems virtually all aspects of the game--from every sound effect to the breathtaking vista of the city skyline--beautifully shatter expectations. The dazzling visuals with their bold colors complement one of my favorite aspects of the game: the soundtrack. Solar Fields composed the entirety of the game's soundtrack, and after his over thirty years of experience with electronic music, he doesn't disappoint. His work for this game has become one of my go-to examples for incredible ambient music, and there are just so many aspects of the soundtrack that perfectly weave together to add a layer of atmosphere which could not have been created otherwise. This is one of my favorite selections from the soundtrack, and I believe that if you experience the game like I have and you truly drink in what the soundtrack has to offer, it truly speaks for itself.
